Changing Confession Of The Murder Of Brigadier J, National Police Chief Calls Bharada E 'Crown Witness' Case Disclosure
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo does not deny that the investigation into the Brigadier J murder case has encountered many obstacles. However, thanks to Bharada Richard Eliezer alias Bharada E who changed his statement, the case slowly became clear.
At the beginning of the investigation, Bharada E always said he shot Brigadier J without any information being ordered. However, with a special examination method finally his confession changed.
"The person concerned at that time conveyed the changes related to the previous confession," said Sigit in a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR RI, Wednesday, August 24.
Based on a special examination, Bharada E admitted that he was not the one who initiated the shooting of Brigadier J.
He gave information that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was carrying a firearm which was handed over to him when Brigadier J was already lying on the ground covered in blood.
"Brother Richard said that seeing the late Joshua [Brigadier J] lying covered in blood, Brother FS stood in front holding a gun, then handed it over to brother Richard," said Sigit.
For that reason, Brigadier J's premeditated murder case found a bright spot. Then, the National Police named Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as a suspect.
As is known, Brigadier J was found dead at the shelter of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on July 8.
At the beginning of this case, Brigadier J was said to have died in a shootout with Bharada E. However, as the investigation progressed, the real facts were revealed.
Brigadier J actually died as a result of being killed by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. The motive is said to be because the two-star general considered Brigadier J to have hurt the dignity of his family.
Apart from Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, the National Police team also named four other suspects. They are Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka Ricky Rizal, and Strong Maruf.
Recently, the team has also named Putri Chandrawathi or the wife of Ferdy Sambo as suspects.
They were charged with Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
