TNI Troops With Panzer And Motorbikes Around Jakarta, Copying Unauthorized Billboards Including Rizieq Shihab Banners

JAKARTA - Joint officers from the TNI, Polri and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) curbed a number of unlicensed billboards and banners in the capital. There are 500 combined personnel deployed.

"This is part of the three pillar activities as security patrols and we also release billboards that are not installed according to the rules," said Dandim 05/01 JP BS Colonel Inf Luqman Arief who led the activity in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, Friday, November 20.

Reporting from Antara, several tactical vehicles that were deployed in security in the Central Jakarta area were four anoa armored vehicles and dozens of motorbikes driven by both TNI and Brimob Polri officers.

The security route carried out by the joint officers started from Jalan Budi Kem glory, then turned towards Jalan Abdul Muis, then towards Pasar Tanah Abang, then headed towards the Petamburan area.

After the direction of Petamburan, the journey continues towards the Semanggi Roundabout and leads to Jalan Jendral Sudirman then returns to the starting point, namely the National Monument.

"From the route we passed, there were approximately 10 illegal billboards that we secured," said Luqman.

Some of the billboards that were put in order included party bills, then Waskita's, to the rest of Rizieq Shihab's welcome billboards posted by his supporters.

In the future, similar activities will be carried out more regularly to ensure security in Central Jakarta remains conducive and safe and clean from unauthorized billboards.

"Of course we are also coordinating with related parties about this billboard. We are coordinating with the Jakarta Kesbangpol, Satpol PP and the police so that the Central Jakarta area will no longer be decorated with unlicensed billboards," said Luqman.

Security patrols and cleaning of unlicensed billboards were also carried out in other areas under the security of the Jaya / Jayakarta Military Command.

The cleaning of the unlicensed billboards was also supported by the Regional Military Commander, Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman.

"This is a rule of law country, you must obey the law. If you put up billboards, the rules are clear. There is a tax payment and the place has been determined, don't go around it yourself," said Dudung.
