Before Manchester United Humiliated Liverpool At Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo Had Embarrassed The Legend Jamie Carragher
JAKARTA - There was an embarrassing moment experienced by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher before his former team was hosted by Manchester United. He was ignored by the Red Devils mega star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Carragher experienced a truly unpleasant incident before the kick off of the third week of the 2022/2023 Premier League season at Old Trafford Stadium on Tuesday, August 23 in the morning WIB.
This moment occurred when Ronaldo greeted his former team-mates at Manchester United, Roy Keane and Gary Neville. The Portuguese star approached the two seniors in the warm-up session.
CR7 shook hands and was seen chatting as he approached Neville before approaching Keane. Ronaldo also had a chat with Keane who asked him why he had not played since the early minutes.
"What do you want me to do?" Ronaldo replied as reported by The Sun.
However, when he walked towards Keane, Ronaldo looked indifferent to Jamie Carragher. In fact, the Liverpool legend was standing between Neville and Keane and Dave Jones on the far right side of Kaene.
Carragher even moved to show a gesture of thrusting the microphone at Ronaldo. However, the former Real Madrid star paid no heed to Carragher and walked away towards Keane.
Ronaldo still seems to be holding a grudge against Carragher for his comments this month. According to him, no club would accept Ronaldo in the midst of his desire to leave Old Trafford.
Previously, Carragher had also commented that Ronaldo was only a burden for MU. The comments were made by Carragher when he became a pundit with Wayne Rooney at a television station.
MU versus Liverpool match itself ended with a narrow 2-1 win for the home team. This is the Red Devils' first victory after losing the first two matches.
In that match, Ronaldo took the bench. The 37-year-old was only introduced to the field in the 86th minute replacing Marcus Rashford.
