Police Says 2 Cellphones Examined By Komnas HAM Don't Belong To Brigadier J
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the cellphone examined by Komnas HAM did not belong to Brigadier Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. Because the cellphone has not been found so far.
"Yes, that's right (not Brigadier J's cellphone, ed), according to what has been conveyed by the Criminal Investigation Agency and the Director of General Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Department," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo when confirmed, Tuesday, August 23.
According to him, in handling the case of Brigadier J, the special team (timsus) of the National Police had confiscated two cellphones allegedly belonging to Brigadier J.
The cell phone was also examined or investigated by the Forensic Laboratory team (Labfor). Likewise with the National Human Rights Commission.
The results of the investigation, it turns out that the two cellphones do not belong to Brigadier J. Therefore, the team is still looking for the whereabouts of the cellphones.
"Yes (still being sought, red) by the fingerprint team," said Dedi.
Komnas HAM previously stated that it had finished checking two cellphones related to the shooting that killed Brigadier J. However, Komnas HAM was reluctant to explain who owned the cellphone, whether it was Brigadier J's or someone else's. It is known, Komnas HAM summoned the Cyber Bareskrim team and also the National Police Labfor for questioning regarding digital forensics and cyber examinations related to the shootout incident at the official residence of Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo.
