Sukodono Sidoarjo Police Chief Allegedly Arrested For Drugs, This Is What The East Java Police Said
SURABAYA - Sukodono Police Chief AKP IKAW is suspected of being arrested in connection with a drug case. The officer at the Sukodono Police Sector was arrested by the East Java Police Directorate of Drugs.
"Yes, that's right, there has been an arrest by a police officer in Sidoarjo," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, confirmed on Tuesday, August 23.
However, Dirmanto did not comment when the name of the Sukodono Police Chief AKP IKAW was mentioned. The reason is that his party is still waiting for data from investigators from the Directorate of Drugs at the East Java Police regarding this matter.
"I'm still looking for data to investigators, who was arrested. Later I will tell you when the data has been collected," he said.
Based on information from the internal police, the raid was carried out by the Directorate of Drugs at the East Java Police.
"Now the person concerned is undergoing an intensive examination at the East Java Police Headquarters," said a police source when confirmed.
According to him, the officer is a leader in a police station in Sidoarjo. It is suspected that he had previously been targeted or monitored by the East Java Police for the incoming reports. "It's just that, waiting for the right time. Just yesterday when they were raided, there were several perpetrators as well as evidence," he said.
Meanwhile, Sukodono Police Chief AKP IKAW, when confirmed regarding the news of the raid, has not yet responded. Confirmations by phone and WhatsApp messages have also not been replied to.
