JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) Seto Mulyadi alias Kak Seto said he would coordinate with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police regarding the condition of the children of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi. Kak Seto wants to ensure psychological assistance.
"We are only here asking how far the police have taken to protect their own citizens, meaning that these residents are children who are in need of protection," said Kak Seto to reporters, Tuesday, August 23.
According to him, psychological protection or assistance should be given to the four children suspected of the murder of Brigadier J. Because they were bullied in the aftermath of the case.
If, from the results of coordination with the Bareskrim investigators, it turns out that assistance has not been provided, then LPAI will volunteer.
"Then if you need a team of psychologists, we are also ready," he said.
Psychological assistance is very important to do. The reason is, it is undeniable that the children of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo will experience mental stress in the aftermath of the murder case.
"The protection of psychologists who can restore trauma conditions because the bullied child is completely helpless, traumatized, and can become depressed," said Seto.
"So indeed, if the child (Sambo) is forced to have informal education for fear of bullying happening when he meets his friends, we are ready," he continued.
Previously, LPAI prepared a team of psychologists to handle the children of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawati. This couple is a suspect in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J.
"Yes, we are all ready. Both psychologists and education staff," said Seto.
Meanwhile, the children of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo and Putri Chandrawati were victims of bullying in the aftermath of the Brigadier J murder case. The bullying took place on social media.
