Not Surprised By Bayern's Brilliant Performance At The Start Of The Season, Mane: It's Difficult For Other Teams To Beat Us

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane was not surprised by the team's record-breaking start to the season, praising manager Julian Nagelsmann's intensive training sessions and tactics.

Bayern have won their first three Bundesliga games by a margin of more than 14 goals meaning they have started the best season in Bundesliga history and are now top of the table.

Speaking after scoring twice in his side's 7-0 win over Bochum on Sunday, Mane said Bayern's preparations were clear on the pitch.

"It's unbelievable, but it's not a surprise to me, (given) how we train," Mane told the Bundesliga website.

"It's high level, high intensity... everything we do pays off because we work so hard in training."

The 30-year-old Senegalese, who spent six years under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, also praised Nagelsmann for his team's dominance.

"We have a very, very good coach."

"The ideas he has are amazing."

"It's very difficult for other teams to beat us."

Mane, who moved to Bayern from Liverpool in the summer for a reported fee of 32 million euros, has scored four goals in four competitive appearances for Munich.

Mane scored with a first-half strike against Bochum and from the penalty spot in the second half. He successfully secured the role as a penalty executioner appointed by Bayern.

Mane has scored 90 goals in 196 appearances for Liverpool and none of these have come from the penalty spot, with his Egyptian team-mate Mo Salah as the Reds' preferred penalty taker.

Senegal will feature in the Qatar World Cup in November after Mane also succeeded as one of the executioners of the decisive penalty in the victory over Egypt in February.
