The Vice President Invites The Prophet's Council For Economic Jihad
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin invited the Prophet's Assembly to fulfill the call to together with the Government carry out economic jihad so that the national economy can recover and be strong in facing the global crisis.
"As a nation, we must also fulfill the call of the homeland, because the homeland always calls us. He reminded that in the colonial era, kiai and santri took part in jihad against the invaders because the principle of love for the country was part of faith.
According to Ma'ruf Amin, the Indonesian nation is currently facing a period of economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, which has not only destroyed the health and social sectors, but also the economy. In addition, he added, there was also a global crisis in the food, energy and financial sectors.
Therefore, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin invites all parties, including all members of the Prophet's Assembly, to be involved in carrying out economic jihad.
"So that we live in good conditions. Maintaining a good life, said the ulama, is one of the greater goals of Islamic law, by maintaining primary needs, which must exist and must exist," he said.
The Vice President also hopes that the tabligh akbar which will be held again by the Prophet's Assembly after the COVID-19 pandemic will make the religious life of Muslims more lively.
