Wrath Of Unpaid Salary For Almost 2 Months, Driver In Garut Reckless To Persecute Employer, Body Wrapped In Plastic Dumped In A Secluded Place

GARUT - The Garut Resort Police uncovered the murder case of a businessman whose body was dumped on the road in the Cisewu area, Garut Regency, West Java. The perpetrator in this case turned out to be the victim's personal driver.

"After we got the identity of the victim, we carried out an investigation in coordination with the West Java Regional Police, finally it was discovered that there was a motive from one of the employees, namely the victim's personal driver," said Garut Police Chief AKBP Wirdhanto Hadicaksono during a press conference revealing the murder case at the Leles Police, Garut, Antara, Monday. , August 22.

The victim was identified as Stefanus Edityalay (42), a resident of Batununggal, Bandung City, a transportation entrepreneur. Meanwhile, the suspect is his personal driver with the initials RN (43), a resident of Garut Regency.

The suspect carried out the murder at his employer's house on the evening of Friday, August 19 and then took the victim's body to a quiet area on the streets of Cisewu District, early Saturday morning. The victim's body was later found by residents on Saturday morning.

The police chief said that the police immediately carried out the crime scene after receiving reports of the discovery of the body from residents and collecting evidence and identifying the identity of the victim. In less than 24 hours, the perpetrator of the murder was arrested at his rented house in the Cibiru area, Bandung City.

"We managed to uncover this case and catch the culprit in less than 24 hours," said the Police Chief.

He revealed that the suspect carried out the murder because he was angry with his employer who had not paid his salary for almost two months with a monthly salary of IDR 4.5 million. Before committing the murder, the police chief added, the suspect had asked for his salary, but received harsh treatment and was threatened with being shot by the victim.

"The perpetrator asked for his salary which had not been paid for 1.5 months, but his response was angry and had threatened to shoot the suspect," he said.

The police chief said that the victim had wanted to take a weapon known as an air softgun, then the perpetrator took a hammer and tortured the victim until she lay down.

The victim was then wrapped in plastic and entangled with a cable until he died.

Next, the suspect took the victim to the southern area of Garut, which he knew was quiet, and dumped the victim's body along with a number of the victim's belongings on the side of the road.

"As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with multiple articles, including the article on premeditated murder which carries the death penalty and life imprisonment," he said.
