Material For Ridwan Kamil's Examination At Bareskrim About The Rizieq Shihab Crowd

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil will be questioned by Bareskrim Polri regarding the crowd of FPI leader Rizieq Shihab in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java. Kang Emil will be asked about the steps being taken regarding the crowd.

"He knows what happened yesterday, what his reaction was, what his efforts were, of course this will be explored by investigators," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono to reporters, Thursday, November 19.

In addition, investigators will also explore the rules for handling COVID-19 in West Java. Because as the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil is also the head of the regional task force.

"He issued the Governor Regulation regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in the West Java region. How is the implementation down, what are the downward orders," he said.

Furthermore, Awi said that the investigation of Ridwan Kamil which took place at Bareskrim had no deviant objectives. The reason is only in the form of coordination in the case handling process.

"This is a joint investigator from Bareskrim and Polda Metro Jaya and Polda West Java. Of course we are in synergy and related to the summoning of the West Java Governor at Bareskrim," he said.

Originally, Ridwan Kamil would be questioned at Bareskrim on Friday, November 20. This examination is related to suspected health protocol violations.

The alleged violation occurred during a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a pesantren that Rizieq Shihab participated in.
