LPSK Will Go To KPK To Be Asked For Information About The 'envelope' From Inspector General Ferdy Sambo

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) will come to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Deputy Chairperson of LPSK Susilaningtias said this visit was related to the gift of 'envelopes' which allegedly came from the former Head of the National Police Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Yes, today (present, ed) for questioning," said Susilaningtias to reporters, Monday, August 22.

Susi said that those who would be questioned were LPSK staff who at that time were in charge of examining Putri at the National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) office.

"Staff who were on duty at that time," he said.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of LPSK Edwin Partogi said that one member was given two brown envelopes after meeting the former Head of the Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on Wednesday, July 13.

At that time, two LPSK officers met with Sambo at the Propam Kadiv Office. According to him, the meeting was related to a request for protection for Ferdy Sambo's wife.

Regarding this incident, the Law Enforcement and Justice Advocates Team (TAMPAK) reported allegations of giving money by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo to LPSK officers to the KPK on Tuesday, August 15.

TAMPAK Coordinator, Roberth Keytimu, said that the reporting was carried out so that the investigation into the shooting of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J proceeded professionally and transparently. They urged the KPK to investigate the alleged money giving.

"We expect the KPK to take steps based on Law Number 19 of 2019," said Roberth at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 15.

Not only that, the KPK must also investigate the giving of money from Ferdy Sambo and his wife to a number of parties involved in this shooting case, such as Bharada Richard Eliezer, also known as Bharada E, Kuwat, and Bripka Ricky Rizal.

"(Hopefully the KPK, ed) will investigate the alleged bribery of LPSK staff, Bharada Richard Elizier Pudihang Lumiu alias Bharada E, Bripka Ricky Rizal, and Kuwat Ma'ruf," he said.

TAMPAK brought evidence in the form of news clippings from online media. From there, the union of advocates believes that there have been attempts to bribe a number of parties.
