Revealing The Shooting Event At Bank Capital And A Shophouse In Cengkareng
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police is still investigating the case of a shooting that occurred at a bank and shop in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.
Although there were no injuries or fatalities, the authorities are still continuing their investigation to find out the motive for the terror act that occurred on Thursday, August 18, last year.
Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Ardhie Demastyo said, from the results of the current investigation, his party had collected a number of witnesses and evidence of CCTV footage around the location.
"Five eyewitnesses have been examined at the Cengkareng Police Headquarters," said Commissioner Ardhie Demastyo when confirmed by VOI, Monday, August 22.
Meanwhile, there were four witnesses who had previously been examined, they were from the security side, the head of security, Bank Capital and Toko. However, there is currently one additional witness related to the shooting incident.
Even so, the police have not been able to conclude the motive related to the terrorist shooting. After the incident, the police had difficulty finding CCTV footage at the location because the recording was not clear.
However, after an in-depth investigation, the police again collected and confiscated other CCTV footage related to the series of shootings.
"Currently there are 8 CCTV footage that was confiscated and examined. The case is still under investigation," he said.
Meanwhile, from security information to police officers, he heard the alarm sound at Bank Capital sounding. Then security heard three bangs, two bangs at Bank Capital and one bang at the store.
"Projectiles and shells were found at the scene," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a bank in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, was targeted by an unknown person. The rolling door was perforated due to being pierced by bullets and the inner glass was broken.
