A Series Of Local Talents Enliven The Release Of Mulan At Disney + Hotstar Indonesia On December 4
JAKARTA - The live action version of Mulan film produced by Disney will be available in Indonesia in early December 2020. Disney Indonesia celebrates the release of Mulan with various surprises from Indonesian singers and actors and actresses.
Yuki Kato, Luna Maya, and Dion Wiyoko were chosen as voice actors for the film Mulan in Indonesian. The three stars were chosen so that the Indonesian people could enjoy the film Mulan.
Even though they have worked for a long time, the three voice actors also face challenges. "The syllables in Indonesian become longer (than the English dialogue) and must complete the sentence," said Dion Wiyoko, the voice of Honghui at a press conference today, November 19.
Not only filling in the voice, both Yuki, Dion, and Luna compactly admitted that they watched the animated version of Mulan to get deeper into the characters and know how to carry them.
As well as voice actors, Disney Indonesia also collaborated with four female Indonesian musicians: Nadin Amizah, Agatha Pricilla, Sivia Azizah, and Yura Yunita to sing Reflection, the official soundtrack song for the film Mulan.
Nadin, Agatha, Sivia, and Yura were honored to join in singing this song as they grew up with Disney songs including Reflection.
They collaborated to present a new color from Reflection that can be enjoyed in digital format and a special music video which will be released on 20 November. The music video will combine Mulan's story with elements of Indonesian culture.
The film Mulan tells the story of a young woman who puts her life on the line to fight on the battlefield. This film stars Liu Yifei, An Yoson, Gong Li, Donnie Yen, and Jet Li.
As one of the iconic stories, Disney is committed to delivering the best food by engaging local talent. The film Mulan can be watched exclusively through Disney + Hotstar Indonesia starting December 4, 2020.
