Investigators Hand Over Corruption Dossier For Karawai Health Center Construction Which Cost The State Rp443.2 Million
JAKARTA - Investigating prosecutors have handed over a case file of alleged corruption in the budget for the construction project of the Karawai Health Center, Aru Tengah Timur District, Aru Islands Regency, Maluku, which cost the state Rp443.2 million to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Aru Islands District Attorney.
"There are two suspects in this case, each with the initials RB and IJS," said Sesca Taberima, Head of Special Investigations Unit at the Aru Islands District Attorney's Office, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, August 20.
The suspect RB is known as the Commitment Making Officer for the Karawai Health Center Development Project for the 2018 Fiscal Year worth Rp. 5.785 billion.
Meanwhile, the suspect IJS is a third party as a supplier of goods from PT Pratama Godean Jaya.
According to him, the transfer of the second stage in the form of submission of case files, suspects, and evidence has been carried out by the investigating prosecutor to the prosecutor so that later it will be continued to the Ambon Corruption Court for trial.
"In the investigation of the Karaway Health Center Development Project, investigators have confiscated IDR 150 million and a certificate of ownership in the form of land to restore state losses which will be proven at trial," said Sesca.
He said the actions of the suspects had fulfilled two pieces of evidence and there was a lack of volume in the progress of the construction of the Karawai Health Center which caused state losses.
The two suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
