PPPK Salary Budget In 2023 Estimated To Swell To Rp380 Billion, Bogor Regency Government 'Shifts' Infrastructure Allocation

BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, estimates that the budget requirement for salaries of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in 2023 will swell to Rp380 billion.

"The total budget is around Rp. 380 billion, we are trying to allocate it, it is proposed at the KUA-PPAS for the 2023 fiscal year," said Head of the Budget Division of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Bogor Regency, Achmad Wildan in Cibinong, Antara, Friday, August 19.

The drastic increase in the PPPK salary budget was due to the planned appointment of 3,620 PPPK next year. The reason is, this year the Bogor Regency Government has budgeted Rp. 96 billion to pay 2,700 PPPK.

"So specifically for the 2023 class of PPPK salaries, it is almost Rp. 200 billion," he said.

Wildan said, due to the increasing need for budget for PPPK salaries, the Bogor Regency Government was forced to shift some of the budget that was originally for infrastructure.

"We have shifted a few, firstly, infrastructure will inevitably be reduced, and we will try to reduce activities that are training, technical guidance, socialization, we will allocate," said Wildan.

Meanwhile, Head of the Procurement, Dismissal, and Information Division of the Bogor Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Nia Kusmardini said that the Bogor Regency Government had again proposed the addition of PPPK to the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia.

Of the total quota of 3,620 PPPK, most of them are specifically for teacher formation, which is 3,039 people. Then, the rest are the formation of health workers, agricultural workers, and others.
