In The Aftermath Of Daar El-Qolam Islamic Boarding School's Santri Killed By His Friend, Tangerang Police Examine Management Investigate Elements Of Negligence
TANGERANG - The Tangerang Police are investigating two managers of the Daar El-Qolam Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Jayanti District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, regarding the case of a deadly fight that resulted in the death of a student.
"We conducted an examination yesterday against the Islamic boarding school. From the student witnesses there were five people, but from the boarding school administrator there were two people we examined as witnesses," said Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Raden Rhomdon Natakusuma in Tangerang, Antara, Friday, August 19.
According to him, the stage of examination of the two managers of the Daar El-Qolam Islamic Boarding School was carried out to investigate whether there were indications of negligence in the incident. The police are also still investigating the alleged indication of negligence on the part of the boarding school.
"Yes, of course we are conducting an investigation related to this. Is there an element of negligence on the part of the board of the Islamic boarding school, which is still being investigated; while the investigation is for the perpetrators," he added.
Rhomdon said the Tangerang Police in general had conducted an investigation and detention of the alleged perpetrator of the fight that killed a student. In addition, the police have also processed the file to the next stage by providing special handling for child perpetrators.
"We take care of the psychology because (the alleged perpetrator) is still a minor; and we have also provided assistance with the assistance of the Fathers and the DP3A office," he said.
The case of fighting among students at the Daar El-Qolam Islamic Boarding School caused the death of one victim with the initials BD (15) from Tanjung Burung, Kosambi. The Tangerang Police handled the case in accordance with the Law (UU) on the Juvenile Justice System.
Kasatreskrim Tangerang Polresta Kompol Zamrul Aini said the fight case between R (15) and BD (15) was purely one-on-one. After conducting an investigation into the perpetrator and a number of witnesses as well as an autopsy on the victim, the police have named one student as a suspect as the alleged perpetrator.
"It has been determined. Currently R is the son of the perpetrator. Regarding the trigger of the case, it's normal for children to fight. His name is also in the dormitory, right, so they fight, so just be spontaneous," he said.
He also mentioned that the perpetrator, who is currently the child of the perpetrator, has confessed to his actions. In addition, the perpetrator's actions have been subject to the Child Protection Law Article 80 paragraph 3, with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
"We apply the Child Protection Act Article 80 paragraph 3," said Zamrul.
