Dismantling Land Mafia Practices, Ministry Of ATR/BPN Receives Report Of Alleged Illegal HGU

JAKARTA - Sawit Watch and the Center for Government, Constitution and Society (Integrity) Law Firm visited the Office of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, South Jakarta. He came to question the continuation of their complaint regarding the alleged illegal HGU being used by a company in South Kalimantan on August 3, 2022.

"(The complaint) has reached the Minister (Hadi Tjahjanto) and from the Minister it has reached Director General 7. Director General 7 is in charge of defense issues at the ATR/BPN ministry," said Sawit Watch Director Achmad Surambo in a written statement received, Friday, 19 August.

Achmad said the relevant director general at the Ministry of ATR/BPN was examining and reviewing the complaints that had been submitted. According to him, in the not too distant future, his party will be asked for clarification on the report.

"Now we are researching and reviewing the complaints that we submit and we are waiting for them to get clarification from us, if they are needed. However, usually from the agencies we submit there are always clarifications," said Ahmad.

He also emphasized that his party would return to the Ministry of ATR/BPN to find out the fate of their complaint. The initial plan is September 2022 or 2 more weeks. He hopes that the Ministry of ATR/BPN will process the complaint regarding the alleged illegal HGU issuance in a professional manner because it is closely related to the land mafia, which is President Jokowi's priority.

"We don't know whether there is a clarification or not, to make sure there is a clarification or not, when we come again (early September 2022) to check again, we want to know what the fate of this people's complaint will be, in accordance with Jokowi's commitment, commitment Pak Jokowi eradicates the land mafia," he added.

In the same place, Senior Partner of Integrity Law Firm, Harimuddin, said that the alleged illegal HGU issuance had been reported to four institutions, namely the KPK, Bareskrim, Attorney General's Office and the Ministry of ATR/BPN. His party, together with Sawit Watch, have been asked for clarification regarding the complaint or report on the alleged illegal HGU.

"So the clarification agenda has not yet been included in pro-justitia legal actions such as investigations or investigations, it is still being clarified," he said.

Meanwhile, the report at the Prosecutor's Office, continued Harimuddin, is still at the stage of research and review from the prosecutor's team and there has been no clarification as at the Ministry of ATR/BPN. He also hopes that the two institutions will give their attention or report.
