Village Fund Corruption Case, Kejari Mukomuko Will Check 10 People
JAKARTA - The Mukomuko District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of Bengkulu, Bengkulu, plans to examine 10 witnesses related to the alleged misuse of the Air Kasai Village Fund for the 2021 fiscal year.
"The plan is for another 10 people to be investigated, and they are third parties or private individuals who are related to this case," said Head of the Attorney General's Office, Mukomuko Rudi Iskandar, represented by the Head of Intelligence, Radiman, as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 17.
He said the examination of 10 third parties could be before or after the case was submitted to the Mukomuko Regional Inspectorate for audit.
In addition, the examination of these 10 people is to complete the data needed by the Mukomuko Regional Inspectorate to conduct an audit of cases of alleged misappropriation of the Air Kasai Village Fund.
The Mukomuko Kejari previously examined more than 10 officers from the Air Kasai Village, Air Dikit Sub-district regarding the alleged misappropriation of the Air Kasai Village Fund for the 2021 fiscal year.
Furthermore, his party requested the assistance of the local Regional Inspectorate to conduct an audit of the case of alleged misappropriation of the use of the Air Kasai Village Fund for the 2021 fiscal year which the institution is investigating.
The Prosecutor's Office submitted this case to the local Regional Inspectorate for an audit because the supervision of villages in this area was carried out by the Regional Inspectorate.
"We want to see first how much the state has lost, for that we ask the Regional Inspectorate to audit this case," he said.
Acting Inspector of the Regional Inspectorate of Mukomuko Apriansyah said his party had coordinated with the Kejari regarding the request for an audit of this case.
"We are only coordinating with law enforcement officials regarding this case. At this time, no documents have been submitted," he said.
Meanwhile, it is suspected that there are procurement activities sourced from the Air Kasai Village Fund in 2021 that are fictitious or cannot be accounted for.
