SUKABUMI - Sukabumi, West Java Police Chief, AKBP Dedy Dharmawansyah helped pay for the pregnancy health checks for two women whose husbands were detained at the local police headquarters due to being involved in a criminal case.

"This assistance that I provide is only a form of humanity, regardless of the actions of her husband who have violated the law," said Dedy in Sukabumi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, August 16.

According to Dedy, one of the aids was given to April Wulandari (23) whose husband is currently languishing in a detention cell at the Sukabumi Police Headquarters to await the trial schedule.

At the delivery of the aid in April, he was accompanied by his aunt and the Head of PPA of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi Police, Iptu Bayu Sunarti and the Kasium of the Sukabumi Police, Brigadier Debi.

It is hoped that the assistance given by the number one person at the Sukabumi Police can ease his financial expenses to care for his child who is still in the womb.

Meanwhile, in the same place, the Head of the PPA of the Sukabumi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu Bayu Sunarti, who added that actually there were two mothers or prospective mothers whose husbands were detained at the Sukabumi Police who were invited by the Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah to receive assistance for health control costs for pregnancy.

However, the other one could not come to the Sukabumi Police Headquarters because the information was that it was time to give birth.

"This is a form of concern for the Sukabumi Police Chief, even though her husband has violated the law, his wife who is pregnant is still given attention," he added.

April, who received the aid, couldn't hold back her tears as she thanked the Sukabumi Police Chief. Even her tears grew even more when her husband, with the initials TA, who was involved in a drug abuse and trafficking case, was allowed to meet.

"Hopefully me and this baby-to-be at the time of delivery are healthy and the birth process is smooth and my husband remains healthy and encouraged. We also thank the Sukabumi Police Chief who has helped," he said.
