Rizieq Reported Unwell, FPI: Not True, He's Resting
JAKARTA - News circulates that the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Muhammad Rizieq Shihab is not feeling well. This is because in the past three days, Rizieq has not received guests at his residence in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta.
However, the news that Rizieq was not healthy was denied by FPI's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar. Aziz said that Rizieq is currently in good health.
"Habib Rizieq is in good health. It is not true that he is not feeling well," said Aziz in a short message, Wednesday, November 11.
Even though he was declared healthy, Aziz said that Rizieq was taking a break from activities and meetings with other parties. However, Aziz emphasized that Rizieq is in good health.
"I said, he was resting again. Not unhealthy, that inconsequential," he said.
Before taking a break from activities, Rizieq was indeed busy with various activities. On his return on November 10, Rizieq was greeted by tens of thousands of supporters who picked him up at Soekarno Hatta Airport.
When he arrived at his residence, Rizieq gave a speech in front of the crowd of supporters who had welcomed him, before resting for three days.
Then, Rizieq carried out four big agendas. After resting at his residence for three days, Rizieq attended the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Assegaf's residence in the Tebet area on Friday, November 13.
Furthermore, Rizieq went straight to the Islamic Markaz Islamic Boarding School in Mega Mendung, Bogor, West Java to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the cottage.
Then, on Saturday, November 14, Rizieq held the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at the FPI Headquarters, Petamburan, Central Jakarta. At the same time, Rizieq will also marry off his daughter, namely Syarifah Najwa Shihab.
