Tirtonadi Type A Terminal Construction Completed By Year-end
SOLO - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is targeting the construction of supporting facilities on the floors of the Type A Terminal Tirtonadi Solo to be completed by the end of this year. These supporting facilities include a food court and convention hall that passengers can use.
"We hope that the construction of supporting facilities at the Tirtonadi Terminal can be completed by the end of 2020," said the Secretary of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Imran Rasyid, while reviewing infrastructure development at Terminal Type A Tirtonadi Solo, Tuesday, November 17.
Later the supporting facilities on the 2nd floor of Tirtonadi Terminal will be connected via a sky bridge with Balapan Station. Where, according to him, the infrastructure infrastructure at Tirtonadi Terminal is quite complete.
Including a sports center area of 1,512 m² which can accommodate 300 spectators stands. The sports center can later be used for basketball, badminton and futsal.
Construction of the Convention Hall covering an area of 3,564 m². This location can be used for activities that can be rented such as exhibitions, conventions to large events because it can accommodate 2,500 people standing or 1,500 sitting.
Meanwhile, the food court with an area of 720 m² will accommodate 12 tenants with 150 visitors. The budget ceiling for development financed by APBN funds is IDR 40 billion with an implementation period of 5 months and will end in December 2020.
Meanwhile, Terminal Type A Coordinator Tirtonadi Joko Sutriyanto revealed that his party would coordinate with the Surakarta City Government, sports organizations, and the arts and culture community.
"We will embrace all parties, especially the Municipal Government of Surakarta as regional stakeholders in the terminal so that in the future the supporting facilities at this terminal can be utilized by the wider community and provide added value, but without reducing the main duties and functions of the terminal as a transportation node," said Joko.
