KPK Task Force Receives Return Of 12 Official Cars From Former Regent Supiori
JAYAPURA - The KPK Coordination and Supervision Task Force together with the Supiori Regency Government, Papua, received the return of 12 units of regional asset service vehicles from the former Supiori Regent Jules F. Warikar.
"The KPK Task Force really appreciates the return of the operational official car of the Supiori Regency Government," said Head of the KPK Coordination and Supervision Task Force, Dian Patria, as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 17.
He said it is fitting that former regional officials who received operational vehicles for positions that have finished serving to return to the country through the relevant offices in the local area.
The official vehicles provided by the government, according to Dian, were purchased from state money so that they were recorded as regional goods assets.
"It takes a statesman attitude from the leaders of officials in the regions. Yes, if you have completed your job duties, all facilities provided by the state must be returned because they belong to government assets," Dian added.
The KPK Task Force, said Dian, will continue to invite state officials in the regions to obey the rules so as to prevent violations of the law that could result in corruption.
"If every regional official complies with all the rules, legal sanctions or criminal acts of corruption can be avoided," hoped Dian.
Dozens of cars that were returned to the KPK Coordination and Supervision Task Force have been handed over to the Supiori Regency Regional Assets Financial Management Agency for local government official vehicles to support government, development and community service work.
