Komnas HAM Said That The Arrival Of Irwasum Komjen Agung Budi In Duren Tiga Was Not An Intervention, It Had No Effect On The Investigation
JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) confirmed that the arrival of Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto at the crime scene (TKP) of the death of Brigadier J did not in any way affect the investigation carried out by the agency.
"Why did Irwasum come because he wanted to welcome Komnas HAM as the National Police Team," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara after checking the crime scene for the death of Brigadier J at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, Jakarta, Monday, August 15.
Therefore, said Beka, the presence of Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto did not affect or hinder the investigation carried out by Komnas HAM.
"There is no attempt to influence anything because they are not involved at all, so they just want to welcome and give Komnas HAM the widest possible access to work," said Beka.
In line with that, another Komnas HAM Commissioner Mohammad Choirul Anam said that after conducting a direct inspection of the crime scene, the agency increasingly found clarity in the case of Brigadier J's death. "The incident is getting brighter," said Anam.
At the same time, a team from Komnas HAM is also conducting a request for information on the suspect Bharada E at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
In general, Anam said that as a major investigation process, crime scene inspection was the agency's last target.
However, in the process of investigating the case until now, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo has not been able to be questioned by Komnas HAM. "So Mrs. PC is still in process. That is also important because there are several materials that must be confirmed with Mrs. PC," he said.
Finally, after checking the crime scene in Duren Tiga, he said that some of the problem topics from the case had become clearer or brighter.
For example, regarding obstruction of justice or efforts to hinder law enforcement which is increasingly showing strong indications of this happening.
