Dana White On Her Relationship With De La Hoya: We Couldn't Be Friends Anymore

JAKARTA - Even though Oscar De La Hoya is willing to end his dispute with Dana White, the UFC president is not interested in forgetting it.

De La Hoya expressed his desire to forget the quarrel between them, but White had no plans to rekindle the friendship with The Golden Boy.

"I think De La Hoya's apology is sincere," White told GQ Sports. "But there's no way he and I can be friends again.

"We are actually really good friends. I used to go to his fights, I used to watch his fights, I used to hypnotize his fights.

"But that guy did too much damage for us to be friends anymore.

"I appreciate the apology, I understand. We are fine, but we will never be on good terms again."

White and De La Hoya's feud has existed since 2017 in the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather duel that White helped to promote.

De La Hoya claimed that the fight was "disrespectful to the sport of boxing".

After that, the UFC president made a series of comments against his former friend.
