Academics: Criminal Investigation Agency Is Not Playing Games, Millions Of People Are Waiting For The Final Round Of The Assassination Of Brigadier J
JAKARTA - Jakarta State Islamic University (UIN) academic Moh Ali Irvan highlighted allegations of maneuvers by senior police officers to deliberately delay the completion of the case of Brigadier J's murder at the shelter of the former Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo.
In this case, Ali asked the Kabareskrim who specifically acted in handling this case to immediately resolve this case so that it could be brought to court immediately.
"Kabareskrim don't play games. Millions of people are waiting for the final round of this case. Don't drag on like a soap opera," said Ali in a written statement, Sunday, August 14.
The Communications Lecturer at UIN Jakarta also appreciated the steps taken by the National Police Chief who named Inspector General Ferdy Sambo as a suspect in the shooting of Brigadier J. According to him, the determination was an effort by the National Police Chief to improve the image of the Bhayangkara Corps.
"This is an effort by the National Police Chief to restore the police's image and public trust," he said.
Ali continued, according to him, Brigadier J's case was not just a shooting case, but there were efforts to cover up and manipulate cases carried out by internal police officers.
He said, to restore public trust in the police institution, thoroughly investigate the engineering efforts carried out by the police group in the shooting case of Brigadier J.
"The National Police Chief should not hesitate to resolve this case. Strict action should be taken if there are elements in the police who try to hinder the disclosure of this case," said Ali.
Previously, the Special Police Team named four people as suspects in the shooting case of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J on suspicion of premeditated murder, all four of which face a maximum penalty of death or life imprisonment.
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Pol. Agus Andrianto said that the four suspects were Bharada Two Polri Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada E, Bripka Ricky Rizal or Bripka R, Strong, and Inspector General Pol. Freddy Sambo.
