Five bodies of victims consisting of motorcyclists and pedestrians were immediately taken to Cianjur Hospital for post-mortem.

During the evacuation process, the flow of vehicles from both directions had snaked up to 12 kilometers (km). Even a number of officers had difficulty evacuating the bodies of victims who had been buried by flour sacks scattered in the middle of the road.

According to a number of eyewitnesses, the truck loaded with wheat flour seemed to be out of control when it entered the scene in Cipadang Village, Bangshadow Village, Gekbrong District.

In fact, the driver had tried to swerve to avoid a collision, but these efforts were fruitless.

"The truck immediately hit two vehicles parked on the side of the road and hit three motorbikes from the opposite direction until they finally overturned after hitting the fence of a resident's house. Even some pedestrians were run over before the truck hit the house fence," said witness Teguh (54).

Residents saw a number of other road users who were injured as a result of bouncing off a motorcycle to avoid a collision with a truck. It was recorded that four road users suffered minor and serious injuries and were immediately taken to the nearest health center for medical assistance.
