JAKARTA - Scout Day is celebrated every year on August 14. Scouting was originally known as Scouting in England and was introduced by Lord Baden Powel. In Indonesia itself, Scouting was inaugurated as a unified organization on August 12, 1961. Many think that the name Scout is an abbreviation of Praja Muda Karana. Whereas the word scout is taken from the word poromuko which means a soldier who is at the forefront of a war. Watch the video below.
