Initially Denies Participating In Illegal Racing In Senayan, But Video Recorded Evidence Makes This Teenager Not Move In Front Of Police
JAKARTA - A total of 17 vehicles were successfully secured by the Precise Pioneer Patrol team of the Metro Jaya Police when they dispersed the illegal racing in the Senayan area, Jakarta, Saturday, August 13 in the early hours of West Indonesia Time.
In addition to vehicles, the Polda Metro Jaya team also secured dozens of teenagers who blocked road access while carrying out illegal racing actions.
The Commander of Team 4 of the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team of the Metro Jaya Police, Ipda Sumantri then explained the chronology of the disbandment of the illegal racing action. Starting when passing at the Statue of Youth, the police later found dozens of teenagers gathered to block the road access.
"We saw several groups of young people who were going to carry out wild racing along the road in Senayan. Then when we stopped some of the vehicles, we stepped on the gas in a panic," said Sumantri, as reported by Antara.
A number of teenagers who were arrested could not dodge when the police showed evidence of the illegal racing activities.
"Earlier after we asked several young people to document their actions and it was shown to us the Precision Patrol Team and it is true that he carried out illegal racing," said Sumantri.
He said the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team will continue to increase patrols on roads that are often used as places for illegal racing.
"In the future, we from the Precision Pioneer Patrol will continue to carry out patrols so that the illegal racing action disappears by itself with the presence of members," said Sumantri.
