The Pelita Party Founded By Din Syamsuddin Officially Registers With The KPU

JAKARTA - The Pelita Party registered itself as a political party participating in the 2024 General Election on the 13th day to the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"Today the Pelita Party submitted the files for the political parties participating in the 2024 General Election along with cadres throughout Indonesia who are participating online at this time," said Chairperson of the Pelita Party, Beni Pramula in front of the KPU building, Saturday, August 13, quoted from Antara.

Beni said the Pelita Party was ready to follow all the next stages set by the KPU to be able to advance in the 2024 General Election.

He also said that the Pelita Party had met the minimum requirements that had been met by the KPU to become a political party participating in the 2024 General Election.

"God willing, the Pelita Party is 100 percent complete, 34 provinces have been formed and we are now at 89 percent at the district/city level, 70 percent at the sub-district level, and we have completed 1/1000 members," Beni claimed.

Beni then said, "So everything is fulfilled. God willing, we are optimistic that we will be participants in the 2024 General Election".

Regarding targets, according to Beni, the Pelita Party does not want to be in a hurry and will hold deliberations at the party level first to formulate strategic steps in 2024.

"Our current focus is tidying up structures and infrastructure throughout Indonesia so that we are really ready to be factually verified by the KPU," he said.

Despite experiencing a few obstacles, Beni said his party had one hundred percent completed uploading registration data in the Political Party Information System (Sipol) and was just waiting for the KPU to check the completeness of the documents.

The founder of the Pelita Party and Chairman of the Party Consultative Assembly (MPP) Din Syamsuddin said that the Pelita Party was present as a political party that brought a new color.

"The Pelita Party, which aspires to as an alternative party, can eliminate Indonesian politics that are trapped in pragmatism, opportunism, materialism, which will bring this nation to collapse," said the former chairman of PP Muhammadiyah.

The Pelita Party registration to the KPU itself was enlivened by a group that looked compact wearing a light brown Pelita Party uniform, with a commando truck accompanying it.

Today, there are three political parties that have registered with the KPU as candidates for the 2024 General Election, namely the Pelita Party, the Congress Party, and the Republic One Party.
