Mukti Agung Installs Tariffs If You Want To Be An Official At Pemalang Regency Government, Firli: IDR 60 Million - IDR 350 Million
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named Pemalang Regent Mukti Agung as a suspect. He is suspected of receiving bribes related to the sale and purchase of positions in Pemalang Regency, Central Java.
KPK chairman Firli Bahuri revealed that Mukti was named a suspect along with five other people. They are the Commissioner of PD Aneka Usaha Adi Jumal Wibowo; Acting Secretary of Pemalang Regency Slamet Masduki; Head of BPBD Sugiyanto; Head of Kominfo Pemalang District Yanuarius Nitbani; and the Head of Public Works of Pemalang Regency, Mohammad Saleh.
The determination of the suspect was carried out after the KPK found sufficient preliminary evidence from the hand arrest operation (OTT) which was carried out on Thursday, August 11.
"KPK has raised the status of this case to the investigation stage by announcing six suspects," Firli said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, August 12.
The six suspects are now being held in different detention houses. Mukti is detained at the KPK Rutan in the Red and White Building and Adi occupies the KPK Detention Center in Lot C1.
Meanwhile, three other people were detained at the KPK Detention Center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur. "The investigative team attempted to forcefully detain the suspects for the first 20 days, starting from August 12, 2022 to August 31," said Firli.
In this case, Mukti is known to have reshuffled and rearranged the positions of several echelons after he was sworn in as regent. Following up on this step, the Pemalang Regency Civil Service Agency opened an open selection for the post of high-ranking pratama.
However, in the process, it is suspected that there was a directive from Mukti so that the prospective participants prepare money for graduation. Furthermore, the delivery is made in cash through Adi which is deposited.
The money, said Firli, was allegedly used for Mukti's purposes. "The amount of money for each position varies," he said.
Mukti, continued Firli, set a tariff of between Rp. 60 million and Rp. 350 million. This is adjusted to the position that the candidate wants to occupy.
"Officers who will occupy positions in Pemalang Regency Government include SM for the position of Acting Secretary of Regional Secretary, SG for the position of Head of BPBD, YN for the position of Head of Communications and Information Technology, and MS for the position of Head of Public Works," he said.
The money Mukti received through Adi allegedly reached Rp4 billion. Furthermore, the money is used for personal purposes.
Mukti is also suspected of receiving money from the private sector. Firli said the amount reached Rp. 2.1 billion.
As a result of their actions, Sugiyanto, Slamet Masduki, Yanuarius, and Mohammad Saleh as the givers were suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
