PSSI Issues Decree On Postponement Of Indonesian League Competition
JAKARTA - PSSI has issued a decree (SK) dated November 16 regarding the postponement of the continuation of the Indonesian League 1 and League 2 competitions which cannot be held this year.
The decree number SKEP / 69 / XI / 2020 signed by PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan is actually not much different from SKEP / 53 / VI / 2020 issued some time ago, both in terms of the planned schedule for the League 1 and League 2 competitions and the value of the player's contract.
Domestic competitions have been suspended this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still massive and has not received permission from the police, even though the federation and operators promised to implement health protocols.
League 1 and League 2 competitions are scheduled to continue in February 2021, while League 3 will only be determined after the top two competitions have become clear.
"The competition as stated in the first stipulation is in February 2021 with due observance of the provisions of the COVID-19 health protocol set by the government," said the points in the letter quoted from Antara.
For contract and salary issues, there is no change like the previous SK. PSSI set the salaries of players and officials back to 25 percent during the competition break until there is a clear schedule and will return to 50 percent for League 1 and 60 percent for League 2.
The 50 or 60 percent salary stipulation applies if the competition is confirmed to be running or starts one month before the official competition is rolled. This figure must match the contract value or at least above the applicable regional minimum wage in each club domicile.
"Clubs can implement a policy of paying the salaries of players, coaches and officials from October to December 2020 with a maximum payment of 25 percent of the obligations stated in the work agreement until the start of the competition," wrote the point.
"Change in contract value for League 1 with a range of 50 percent and League 2 with a range of 60 percent of the contract value or at least above the regional minimum wage applicable in each club domicile, and is enforced one month before the competition starts until the end of the competition. What is meant is."
