Keylor Navas Doesn't Want To Be Second, PSG Coach Christophe Galtier: That's A Good Thing

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas is reported to be ready to leave the Ligue 1 club. The reason, he refused to be a second choice.

This was confirmed by PSG coach Christophe Galtier. He said there was no problem with Navas's statement.

He is actually happy because it will create great competition in the goalkeeper position. As is known, PSG also has another great goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Lately, the Italian goalkeeper has often been the first choice. This condition makes Navas' future at PSG a question mark.

"Navas is a great goalkeeper, who must be respected. He does not accept being a second choice, and that is a good thing," Galtier said as quoted by Antara from Football Italia.

"I know he will attract attention from other clubs, so we will see later," continued the man who replaced Mauricio Pochettino.

The Costa Rican goalkeeper has recently been linked with Napoli. However, no official offer has been made by the Italian Serie A club.

Keylor Navas joined PSG from Real Madrid in the summer of 2019. He has played 106 games for Les Parisiens and kept 49 clean sheets in all competitions.
