Zoom Adds A New Feature To Dispel Zoombombers
JAKARTA - Zoom rolled out a new feature to secure the course of video teleconferences. The feature allows users to pause the meeting momentarily to exclude annoying participants.
As quoted from Tom's Guide, Tuesday, November 17, the use of the Zoom video conferencing application has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not a few pranksters often interfere with Zoom's meetings with Zoombombing or Zoombombers.
"Zoom released two new security features this weekend to remove and report annoying meeting attendees. We also want to share information about the internal tools we use to help prevent meeting disruptions before they happen," said Security & Privacy PR Lead, Matt Nagel, in upload on the official Zoom blog.
With Zoom's new security feature, users can now pause meetings to block bad content, and also report Zoombomber to Zoom. You do this by pressing the Security icon while making a call, then selecting "Suspend Participant Activities", after which all chat, video, audio, annotation, sharing the screen in the meeting will be paused automatically.
Furthermore, Zoom will ask the host moderator and co-host to find out if there are meeting participants who want to be reported. If there is a security team Zoom will remove and remove the participant from the meeting.
Not only meeting organizers, who can report Zoombombers, now meeting participants can also report annoying users by clicking the Security badge at the top left.

After that, the moderator can then continue the meeting and re-enable the features they want to use. Zoom says the new feature is enabled by default for all free and paid users and is available for Mac, PC and Linux as well as the Zoom mobile app.
So far, Zoom has indeed made major improvements in the security sector of its platform. Including increasing some of the Zoom's capabilities and features to accommodate meeting rooms optimally for both study and work needs.
