State Budget No Medicine! Until July Still Surplus Rp106 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani reported that the realization of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) still recorded a surplus of Rp106.1 trillion at the end of July 2022, equivalent to 0.57 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
According to him, the positive score could not be separated from state revenues, which posted a higher value of Rp. 1,551 trillion compared to state expenditures of Rp. 1,444,8 trillion.
"Last year in July 2021 we had a deficit of IDR 336.7 trillion. This means that there has been an extraordinary reversal in just 12 months,” he said when giving a presentation to the media crew on Thursday, August 11.
In detail, the Minister of Finance explained that this achievement could not be separated from tax revenues which grew 58.8 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp. 1028.5 trillion from the previous period of Rp. 647.7 trillion.
Customs and excise revenues increased 31.1 percent to Rp185.1 trillion from the previous Rp141.2 trillion.
Then for non-tax state revenues (PNBP) rose 39.1 percent from the previous Rp242.3 trillion to Rp337.1 trillion at the end of last July.
Meanwhile, the realization of state expenditures amounted to Rp1,444.8 trillion, with details of central government expenditures (BPP) of Rp1,031.2 trillion and transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) of Rp413.6 trillion.
"This result is an important capital to reduce the budget deficit and is estimated to be lower than the target of Presidential Decree 98/2022 which is 4.5 percent," he said.
According to VOI records, the trend of the APBN surplus has occurred since last January with a value of Rp. 28.9 trillion. This was followed by a surplus in February of Rp19.7 trillion, March a surplus of Rp10.3 trillion, April a surplus of Rp103.1 trillion.
Then, in May, there was a surplus of Rp. 132.2 trillion and June, the surplus of the budget of Rp. 73.6 trillion.
