Alexis Sanchez Injured Due To Enthusiasm With Marseille Supporters, British Media: Fastest Ever

JAKARTA - Former Inter Milan player, Alexis Sanchez is reportedly injured a few hours after joining Olympique Marseille. This is touted as the fastest injury a new player gets for a club. Sanchez joined Marseille after breaking his contract with Inter Milan this week. The striker was officially introduced as a new Marseille player after being declared to have passed a medical test.

But a few hours after officially becoming part of the team, he actually experienced an incident that made him injured. Quoted from The Sun, the 33-year-old player slipped while outside the club office.

At that time, the former Manchester United player came out and saw the fans' welcome. He then was about to shake hands with the fans who had gathered to greet him.

He who appeared in his new club jersey, then stepped on an object which then disturbed his balance and slipped.

"Alexis Sanchez with the fastest injury suffered at a new club in the history of football," reads The Sun.

Although he was able to get back up and run after being assisted by Marseille security officers, in fact Sanchez had problems with his ankle.

There has been no official confirmation from the club regarding this incident. However, he is believed to be out for a while.
