Police Wait For Labfor Results Case 'Mr X' Burned To Death In Kupang
KUPANG - The investigation team from the Kupang City Police, NTT, is still waiting for the results of the forensic laboratory examination (labfor) from the Bhayangkara Hospital (RSB) Kupang to reveal the identity of the man who was charred and his body dumped in the river.
"An autopsy by the team has been carried out, but we still have to confirm the identity and cause of death of the victim, whether it was because he was killed before being burned or burned alive," said Kupang City Police Chief Kombes Rishian Krisna B.
This was conveyed in connection with the development of the handling of the case of finding the body of a man in a lifeless and charred condition in one of the dead times in Liliba Village, Kupang City on August 2.
Krisna said that the four witnesses had been examined by the police, especially by the investigation team.
"But until now we have not found out who the man really is," he continued.
It was difficult for them to identify who the man was, because it had been burned and no longer knew the man's true form.
The police also appealed to the people of Kupang City to report any missing family members, but so far no reports have been received.
"We can't assume who the killer is. Moreover, based on his words," he said firmly.
Previously, on Tuesday (2/8), residents of Naimata and Liliba Villages, Maulafa District, Kupang City, suddenly got excited because they were shocked by the discovery of a man's corpse in a charred condition in the river.
