JAKARTA - Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT), Abdul Halim Iskandar said that village data is an important key in village development efforts.
In order for the village head to be able to overcome poverty based on facts on the ground, Abdul asked village officials to update the data system every week. This is so that it can be accessed quickly by all village heads.
"Various poverty alleviation programs at the village level will be resolved if the data updates are valid," said the Minister of Des PDTT in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, August 10.
So far, many parties still underestimate the ability of village stakeholders to solve problems.
"This situation cannot be allowed to continue, especially from year to year the village's performance in managing Village Funds and work programs is increasingly progressive," he said.
The Kemendes PDTT is finalizing a system that can provide space for village heads to respond quickly and accurately to data questions, he said.
So, if there is a question how much is the data on villagers or how much is the data on poverty in the village, then the answer is in the form of data from a week ago, not the version three years ago.
"Currently we are almost done with village data collection. This data will be the basis for various actions in accelerating village development for the welfare of the villagers," said the PDTT Mendes when receiving an audience with the Regent of Rokan Hilir, Afrizal Sintong and 150 village heads throughout the village. On that occasion, the Regent of Rokan Hilir Afrizal said that there were 18 sub-districts in his territory that had the potential for abundant natural resources. However, the pandemic made the wheels of the community's economy experience a drastic decline.
"There are 42 palm oil mills in our district. However, due to the pandemic, it has decreased. Therefore, I hope that the Minister will support all of this," he said.
