Inspector General Ferdy Sambo Becomes Suspect Of Brigadier J's Murder, Threatened With Death Penalty

JAKARTA - The former Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, who was named a suspect in the murder case of Brigadier J, was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to 338 of the Criminal Code. Sambo faces up to 20 years in prison or the death penalty.

"With a maximum threat of the death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum imprisonment of 20 years," said the National Police's Criminal Investigation Officer, Komjen Agus Andrianto, to reporters on Tuesday, August 9.

The application of this article is because Inspector General Ferdy Sambo has a fairly large role. One of them gave the order for Bharada E to shoot Brigadier J.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is said to have made a scenario as if there was a shootout between Bharada E and Brigadier J.

"Inspector General Pol FS ordered to carry out and scenario the incident as if a shooting incident occurred at the official residence of Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo in the Duren Tiga Police complex," Agus explained.

Apart from Inspector General Sambo, Agus continued, there are three other suspects in this case, namely, Bharada E, Bripka RR, and KM.

"Bharada RE has shot the victim. The suspect RR helped and witnessed the shooting of the victim, KM helped and witnessed the shooting of the victim," said Agus.
