Revealed, Ashton Kutcher Was Blind And Deaf Due To Suffering From Autoimmunity

JAKARTA - Actor Ashton Kutcher revealed a disease that he had experienced for several years. The autoimmunity he suffers from makes him blind and deaf or unable to see and hear.

"Two years ago, I had vasculitis that was interfering with my vision, hearing, and all my balance," Ashton Kutcher said in a video for Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge.

It took him a year to recover from it all. Even then he had given up if he could not do anything.

“It took a year to recover everything. You'll never appreciate it until you feel like 'I don't know if I can see again,'" he said.

“I don't know if I can hear anymore. Can I walk. I am lucky to be alive,” explained Mila Kunis' husband.

The video clip has gone viral on the internet. Ashton Kutcher also clarified his statement.

“Before news broke, yes I had a rare vasculitis three years ago. I had some hearing loss, vision, balance problems, afterwards," he said.

"But I recovered. Everything is good. I can move,” Kutcher added.

Launching Deadline, Vasculitis is a condition when inflammation in the blood vessels. The Mayo Clinic explains that inflammation causes blood vessels to thicken and reduce the width of the passageway.

Ashton Kutcher is still active in the film industry, one of which is with his latest film entitled Vengeance which was released this year.
