Invites To Supervise 2024 Election Stages Using SIPOL, Bawaslu: Worried About Misuse Of Population Identity
BABEL - The General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Belitung Regency invites the people in the area to oversee the stages of the 2024 General Election.
"We invite the public to be proactive in supervising the stages of the 2024 General Election," said Belitung Bawaslu Chairman Heikal Fackar in Tanjung Pandan, Bangka Belitung (Babel) Islands Province, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, August 9.
He invited the people in the area to oversee the process of registration and verification of political parties as candidates for the 2024 General Election.
Supervision of this stage is carried out to anticipate the occurrence of misuse of population identity, especially for people who are not administrators or members of political parties.
"People who are not administrators or members of political parties can check their identities on the political party information system application (SIPOL) because they are worried about misuse of population identity," he said.
Based on the results of supervision over the past week, he continued, the Belitung Bawaslu found that there were government employees with work agreements (P3K) registered in the SIPOL application.
"Meanwhile he is not included in the management and members of political parties," he said.
Heikal added that if the public finds that their identity has been misused, they can report the incident.
"The community concerned can report directly to the KPU or Bawaslu secretariat by filling out a public response form," he said.
He said that the Belitung Bawaslu had also conveyed a written appeal to the offices and agencies in the area.
"We also provide an appeal to the public through the Belitung Regency Bawaslu social media," he said.
