The Father Witnessed Himself Scoring A Brace In His First Match With Manchester City, Erling Haaland: This Is A Big Moment For Me

JAKARTA - Erling Haaland presented a stunning performance in Manchester City's inaugural match in the 2022/2023 Premier League competition. Haaland's father, Alfie Haaland, was also a witness.

The moment was welcomed by Haaland because he considered it a big start in his career. Haaland felt he could prove himself not only to the team, but also to his father.

"There were some good celebrations so I'm happy. It's good that he (Alfie Haaland) also saw the two goals because this is a big moment for me as a debutant in this competition," Haaland told the club's official website.

In the inaugural Premier League 2022/2023 match, The Citizens face West Ham at the London Stadium on Monday, August 8 in the morning WIB. Josep Guardiola's squad won 2-0 through a brace scored by Haaland.

The Norwegian player opened the tap for his team's goal in the 36th minute through a penalty. Then he doubled it in the 65th minute after receiving Kevin de Bruyne's through ball.

Haaland felt he was getting the urge to do even better. He wants to prove himself to be an important figure in the team. He believes this will continue to help him get playing time.

"It's been a great start. There's not much to say other than a 2-0 win being a great start," he said.
