Three Entertainment Places In East Jakarta Closed For Violating Health Protocols
JAKARTA - Three entertainment venues on Jalan Raya Pemuda, East Jakarta were closed by Satpol PP, Sunday, November 15. The closure was carried out because the three businesses violated health protocols.
"Two cafes and one billiard place are closed because they open more than the operating hours limit and guarding distance," said Head of the Pulogadung Subdistrict Police Satpol, Andik Sukaryanto, in Jakarta, Monday, November 16.
According to him, according to the Decree of the Head of the Tourism Office Number 259 of 2020, all cafes and agility arenas are only allowed to operate until 21.00 WIB. In fact, the three businesses that were closed served customers until the early hours of the morning.
"We found more than 50 percent of the visitors at the cafe and they were also ignorant of the rules of guarding distance," he said.
Then, he said, his party also reprimanded employees and visitors. Because they don't strictly enforce health protocols. Even though currently it is still in the atmosphere of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We close their business premises 1x24 hours. Whatever the reason they are wrong, if they do it again later, we will be subject to a fine of Rp. 50 million," he said.
The manager of a cafe that was closed by officers, Eko said that the number of consumers who exceeded the capacity occurred because the management was bringing in a singer from Medan.
"Indeed, the incident last night was because we were having a legendary singer from Medan. Usually, we order our health protocols," he said.
