Police Call BCL Manager Consumption Of Drugs After Positive COVID-19

JAKARTA - The manager of the artist Bunga Citra Lestari or BCL with the initials MID was arrested for drug cases. Police said he used the sedative after contracting COVID-19 in 2021.

"In 2021 he contracted COVID-19, after that he used (sedatives, ed)," said West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Akmal to reporters, Saturday, August 6.

From the arrest, the police confiscated seven pills of aprazolam or a sedative. Then, based on the results of a temporary investigation, MID obtained it illegally.

Because, there is no doctor's prescription from the possession of the sedative. Thus, the police are still investigating the origin of the MID drugs obtained. "While there is no doctor's prescription," said Akmal.

MID was arrested while at his residence in the South Jakarta area on Wednesday, August 3 at around 22.00 WIB.

Currently, MID is still under intensive examination. The police are still developing the arrests.
