Ridwan Kamil Invites Investors To Develop Ciater Tourism In Subang
JAKARTA - The Governor of West Java (West Java) Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil invited investors to develop an object area in Ciater, Subang Regency, West Java, which is known for its hot springs and currently there are other tourism potentials in the area, namely waterfalls.
"So when I visited the tea plantation area owned by PT Perkebunan Nusantara or PT PN VIII in Ciater, Subang Regency, Ciater, the advantage is that it has many hot springs. It turned out that only other hot springs were found (in Ciater)," said Kang Emil in Ciater. reported by Antara, Sunday.
He said that not only is it famous for its pineapple fruit and hot springs, Ciater in Subang Regency has enchanting natural scenery and expanses of tea gardens and hills that can spoil the eyes of anyone who sees it, including himself.
Kang Emil said, hot springs are indeed the main attraction of Ciater, however, water tourism in the form of waterfalls and natural scenery enhances Ciater as a tourist destination.
"Typical of the West Java area is a waterfall. I have counted, there are around 400 waterfalls in West Java. In this area (Ciater), there are two waterfalls," he said.
With stunning natural scenery, Ciater can present a sport tourism concept that can stimulate adrenaline. The condition is that complete facilities are presented, such as flying fox and paragliding.
"As long as it is in the form of a hill, you can imagine it for spots that require height, there are paragliding, slides, and so on," said Kang Emil.
In order to make Ciater an attractive tourist destination in West Java, said Kang Emil, his party was intensely communicating with State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
Communication was carried out to discuss cooperation in developing Ciater into enchanting ecotourism. Ecotourism is a tourist area that does not change the function of the surrounding environment.
"I've been motivating Perhutani, PTPN, PT RNI (Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia) for a year, all state assets that have the power of a beautiful natural view to cooperate without changing land functions, namely through ecotourism. So, it means that people can be happy, have economy, but keep on gardening, and other things, "said Kang Emil.
Kang Emil said, to develop Ciater, his party will offer the Ciater Agrotourism project in the West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) 2020 on November 16 to November 19, 2020. The owner of the Ciater Agrotourism Project is PT PN VIII.
WJIS 2020 is an investment forum that businesses and investors can use to discuss various technical matters related to investment projects in West Java.
"I invite investors to attend the West Java Investment Summit, a sign of the revival of West Java's economic recovery. There are dozens of programs, projects that will be auctioned, consisting of energy, construction, including tourism, "he said.
“West Java is very beautiful. After COVID-19, (tourism in West Java) rose first because it did not rely on travel from the air. So relying on cars, motorbikes, or other land vehicles, "he added.
Kang Emil hopes that WJIS 2020 can attract investors to invest in West Java. Investment is an engine that can accelerate economic recovery.
"Here (WJIS) is one of the tens (investment opportunities) that will be auctioned, I happen to want to see its potential for myself. And I am sure that after the investment summit, in 2021, 2022, the economy (West Java) can jump, join with Rebana Metropolitan, "he said.
