2 Patients Who Died When The Surakarta Hospital Was Burned Are In An Isolation Room Complete With Trellis
JAKARTA - The fire that hit the Surakarta Regional Mental Hospital -- Puntadewa Room -- claimed the lives of two people. Both are patients who are in isolation.
Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said the two victims who died in the fire at the Surakarta RSJD on Friday morning were hospital patients who were in the isolation room.
"The two victims who died were in an isolation room at the time of the fire," said Ade in Solo, Friday, August 5, quoted from Antara.
According to him, the isolation room is a special place for patients equipped with a trellis fence.
In the Puntadewa room, which was hit by the fire, he continued, there were three isolation rooms.
"Of the three rooms, two of which are occupied by patients," he added.
The two victims were thought to have been trapped and could not be rescued by hospital guards.
Overall, he said, there were nine patients being treated in this Puntadewa room.
The Central Java Police Forensic Laboratory Team has carried out by the TKP to determine the cause of the fire.
The police also immediately conducted an investigation to determine whether there was an element of negligence in this incident
He said five witnesses had been questioned, including three guards on the night of the incident.
The two patients were Yoga Rizkiawan (33) and Yoga Aprianto (30).
