Reasons For The Police To Send 4 Members To A Special Place Following The Murder Case Of Brigadier J
JAKARTA - The National Police explained the reason behind the placement of four of its members in a special place because of the alleged unprofessionalism in handling the case of Brigadier J's murder. One of them is preventing the occurrence of repeated violations.
"It is feared that the alleged violators will run away and/or repeat the violation again," said Karo Penmas of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Friday, August 5.
Another reason is to maintain the safety of suspected violators and the cases involving them have become the public's attention.
The reason is stated in Article 98 Paragraph 3 of the Political Regulation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Commission for the Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police.
The placement of the four members of the National Police is usually done before the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) session is held.
"In certain cases, placement in a special place can be carried out before the KKEP session," said Ramadhan.
Previously, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that four of his members were detained in the aftermath of the bloody incident that killed Brigadier J. They were 'detained' in a special place.
"Tonight there are 4 people who we place in a special place for 30 days," said General Sigit.
However, the identity of the four members of the Police was not detailed. It was only conveyed, they were part of the 25 people being examined by the Special Inspectorate (Irsus) of the National Police.
There was also no mention of the reason for their placement in that special place. But it is suspected to be related to efforts to eliminate evidence in the case of Brigadier J.
"It will be decided that the investigation is still ongoing. However, we have found out who did it, who took it, who kept it, we will open it all when the process is complete," said Sigit
