Pertamina Nets 53 Riau Men And Women Working At PHR WK Rokan
JAKARTA - A total of 53 sons and daughters from Riau officially joined PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Rokan Working Area (WK).
They were selected among more than 2,000 people who passed the administrative stage to take the written test last March, out of a total of around 10,000 applicants for this PWT vacancy.
In the recruitment of experienced workers this time, new employees will fill positions in the Drilling team and the Health, Environment, and Safety team.
"The recruitment of PWT specifically for Riau's men and women is a form of PHR's commitment to improving the quality of local human resources, so that Riau's best sons and daughters can contribute to the development of WK Rokan," said PHR Director Jaffee A Suardin in a written statement quoted on Friday, August 5.
Filling the position is prioritized for local workers with an ID card or Riau Birth Certificate or graduates of universities in Riau.
The operation of WK Rokan is currently supported by more than 25,000 workers, of which the majority are local Riau residents, both PHR employees and employees of work partners.
Meanwhile, SKK Migas welcomed PHR's move to open vacancies and accept Riau's sons and daughters to work in the Rokan Block.
"SKK Migas strongly supports the recruitment of young local workers to jointly support efforts to achieve the national production target and the target of 1 million barrels per day by 2030," said Rikky Rahmat Firdaus.
Muhammad Hanafi from the Duri area was one of the PWTs who were accepted to join PHR WK Rokan.
He said he was happy and proud to join Pertamina.
"We are very proud to be part of the Pertamina family at Rokan WK," said Hanafi, an alumnus of the Hang Tuah College of Health Sciences, Pekanbaru.
The same thing was conveyed by Nurul Diana, an alumnus of Caltex Riau Polytechnic (PCR), who was born in Pekanbaru.
PHR workforce needs are currently focused on field operations to support the achievement of the target of drilling 400-500 new wells this year, and the national oil and gas production target of 1 million barrels and gas of 12 billion standard cubic feet per day by 2030.
New PWT employees will be immediately placed and carry out work in the field with existing workers.
For this reason, it is very important for applicants to have sufficient work experience in order to work safely and contribute optimally.
The implementation of employee recruitment at various locations in Pertamina's operational areas, for both PWTT and PWT, is managed by PT Pertamina (Persero) or Pertamina's head office. The opening of job vacancies within Pertamina is adjusted to the needs of the Company's operations.
