You Are The Reason God Created The Middle Finger, The Letterbomb Album That Invites Fights
JAKARTA - After releasing the album Born In Sin in 2018, the punk n 'roll band from Bogor, Letterbomb, returned with their third album, You Are The Reason God Created Middle Finger. An album title as well as a title track which is quite long and very unusual.
In terms of lyrics, music, album design and final execution, this album feels more straightforward than the previous two albums.
"The essence of this album is a means of self-introspection and criticism of the condition of society in a narrower scope," said Letterbomb in a written statement received by VOI, Sunday, November 15.
Unlike the Born In Sin album which featured a wide range of social critique songs, this album really got to the point. Like in the song Sajak Murahan untuk They yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yang yangila ”(their community is criticizing 'community celebrities' but with satirical lyrics.
Or even more vulgar in the song Kalian All Bajingan, featuring the vocalist of the Jeans Roek band, Sikoran. This song literally condemns the surrounding comrades for being duplicity and trapping in unfavorable conditions.
In addition to these songs that are too provocative of fights, Letterbomb also covers songs from their currently vacuumed band, D'barbuk. The performance of Metropolis and Wild Night also marked the joining of Dandi, the guitarist of D'Barbuk, into Letterbomb's latest formation.
Do not stop there, in this album, they also recycle a children's song entitled Owl sung by the son of Def the vocalist, Fidel.
Apart from songs with Indonesian lyrics, Letterbomb still creates songs with English lyrics, such as Silly Bastard with a simple punk rock feel. Or in the song You're Not Special, which criticizes the lifestyle of people who are 'dying for the famous' and consumptive which makes them push themselves to be 'recognized'.
The album was closed with the song We're Not Young Anymore (Never Too Old To Rock N 'Roll) where all the personnel took part in singing parts of this song.
"This song has the theme of Letterbomb's musical life which is not like before, which is still very free. The demands of our profession and family make us reduce the frequency of music. But our passion is still there and burning. A song that is just right to close our third album," Letterbomb explained. .
