After The Marriage Contract Tonight, The Wedding Reception For Rizieq's Son Will Be Held Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Chairman of the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) Slamet Maarif said the wedding reception for the daughter of the High Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Rizieq Shihab, Najwa Shihab, will be held on Sunday, November 15.

For tonight, the only activities that will be held are the marriage contract as well as the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday.

"The reception is tomorrow for the friends and family of the bride and groom," said Slamet in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, Saturday, November 14.

Regarding the wedding reception tomorrow, Slamet confirmed that the health protocol for preventing COVID-19 will be implemented. This activity is planned to be carried out at Rizieq's residence in the Petamburan area.

"We have prepared a distance from one another," said Slamet.

Regarding the implementation of the Prophet's birthday and the marriage contract of Rizieq's son, Najwa Shihab, monitored by Front TV, currently the congregation who was present were reading the holy Koran. Until 20.40 WIB, the bride and groom and Rizieq Shihab still did not get on stage.

Meanwhile, regarding the implementation of health protocols, there was no distance at all between the congregation who attended. Most of them also appeared to be not wearing masks, even though some were using them incorrectly.

Apart from that, on the stage, a number of habibs were also jostling and they were not wearing masks like most of the congregation. Seeing this condition, an event guide from the stage then reminded everyone present to wear masks.

"While welcoming the arrival of our teacher, we were reminded again to all the congregation to wear masks, to use health protocols," said the guide.

"Attention to the officers and the army, every person who does not wear a mask, please distribute the mask for free. We have provided tens of thousands of free masks for those who do not carry masks," he said.

Furthermore, Rizieq will carry out a number of activities including holding the Prophet's birthday and the marriage of his daughter, Najwa Shihab, which is planned to be attended by 10,000 invited guests at his residence.

Regarding this activity, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked all parties to implement health protocols and implement 3M, namely wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance.

"We ask all activities so that whatever the activity is, wherever we ask for all activities, the organizers carry out the COVID-19 protocol, health protocol and implement 3M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance," said Riza as quoted by Antara, Saturday, November 14th.

Riza hopes that the organizer, Rizieq and his family, will prepare officers to ensure that the events being held do not cause crowds and are assisted by the authorities.
