Doni Monardo Reminds Anies Baswedan To Apply The Regional Regulation Created During The COVID-19 Pandemic
JAKARTA - Chairperson of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Doni Monardo reminded the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to implement regional regulations (Perda) that had been drafted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was conveyed by Doni in response to the implementation of health protocols in the Prophet's birthday activities organized by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) which coincided with the wedding ceremony for the daughter of FPI Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab, Najwa Shihab.
This warning, said Doni, was conveyed directly to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan and his deputy, Riza Patria.
"We have also contacted the Deputy Governor (Riza Patria, red) yesterday and this afternoon, Governor Anies can really implement the regional regulations as stated in the regulations that have been made by the DKI government," said Doni in a press conference broadcast on the account. He invited leaders to work together in implementing health protocols. This must be done not because of avoiding sanctions but to maintain common health.
"Compliance with this health protocol is not due to sanctions but is a collective awareness to protect ourselves and others," he said.
"If we can do this well, God willing, our nation will get better and those who are exposed will be smaller," added the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
Furthermore, to ensure that the health protocol is implemented in the Prophet's birthday as well as the wedding ceremony, Doni said that his party deliberately gave aid in the form of cloth masks and hand sanitizers.
Health protocols in the form of wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands need to be done to avoid transmission. Moreover, COVID-19 is dangerous for the elderly or elderly. "When those who are exposed are elderly and comorbid sufferers, the risk is very fatal. I repeat it is very fatal," he said.

Previously, the Director of Logistics and Equipment Management of BNPB Rustian delivered assistance in the form of 10 thousand cloth masks, 10 thousand cloth masks, and hand sanitizers to Petamburan, Central Jakarta or to locations where the activities of the Prophet's birthday and the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter will be held. He said this initiative came from Doni Monardo.
"Seeing that there were many people gathered, we responded by giving them (assistance, red)," said Rustian.
